I am a writer with a lot to say. I am single with no plans on changing that any time soon. I’m the black sheep in my family. I have two brothers. One is my twin and married. One is younger and will be married early next year. I have no children. I have a cat that has a few issues, but I love him very much. I don’t talk about my religion or politics unless I have to.
I love television, movies, music, writing, and pop culture. This blog is where I “muse” on the topics of the day. In the past, I’ve written a lot about myself. I will still do that, but I want to try to tie it more into what’s going on in the world. For example, I may post about a current event and how it affects me or what my view is on it.
I believe writing every day is good for everyone. Even if it’s a sentence. Before you know it, you find you have lots to say. I am pursuing an English Degree and hope to get into screenwriting or television writing. It’s a very difficult thing to do, but I embrace all forms of writing and hope to find a job where I can be creative all the time. And pay back the student loans.
Wondering about the name “The Starstruck Farmgirl?”
I grew up in small rural towns. When I was in high school, I lived on a farm and was obsessed with movie stars. I’m still into movie stars but am no longer a farmgirl. I feel that growing up in the country before settling in the city helped shape who I am. Starstruck Farmgirl honors those memories.
